Χρυσές Σφαίρες 2023: Η Νεκρανάσταση ενός θεσμού
Επιστροφή λοιπόν στις επισημότητες και το glamour μετά από δύο χρόνια αναταραχής και αμφισβήτησης. Η επετειακή 80η απονομή των Χρυσών Σφαιρών θα διεξαχθεί στις 10 Ιανουαρίου στο Beverly Hilton του Λος Άντζελες με κεντρικό παρουσιαστή τον κωμικό Jerrod Carmichael. Ένας, ένας οι χολιγουντιανοί αστέρες «επιστρέφουν στο μαντρί», κάποιοι μάλιστα όπως η Jenna Ortega, η Jamie Lee Curtis ή και ο Quentin Tarantino αναλαμβάνουν χρέη παρουσίασης. Φυσικά πλην Tom Cruise που είχε ήδη επιστρέψει τις Σφαίρες που είχε κερδίσει σε ένδειξη διαμαρτυρίας κατά την πρόσφατη ταραγμένη περίοδο αλλά και του υποψήφιου για τη Φάλαινα Brendan Fraser που έχει από παλιά ανοικτούς λογαριασμούς με την Ένωση.
Φέτος τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες (8 συνολικά) συγκέντρωσε η νέα ταινία του Martin McDonagh The Banshees of Inisherin, ακολουθούμενη από το indie φαινόμενο Τα Πάντα όλα με 6 υποψηφιότητες. Στον τηλεοπτικό τομέα προηγείται η κωμική σειρά Abbott Elementary με 5 υποψηφιότητες.
